Job Description

As a Junior Product Owner (PO) at Zooplus, you will collaborate across teams to help define and iteratively develop products that align with the company’s goals. You will take an analytical approach to understand the business needs of your product(s) and work closely with both business and technical teams to deliver effective solutions. By embracing Lean-Agile principles, you will focus on delivering value through minimal viable products while staying adaptable to changes. Organized and detail-oriented, you will contribute to data-driven recommendations that best serve user needs and initiative goals.

As the Junior PO for Inventory Visibility, your mission will be to ensure that all products and users at Zooplus have access to accurate, compliant, and relevant inventory information. This will help ensure reliable stock information for customers, compliant stock value reporting, and optimized logistics decisions based on accurate data.

In this role, you will support the oversight of the inventory calculation process at Zooplus, including communication with warehouses regarding inventory movements and providing up-to-date inventory data to shops and logistics systems. Additionally, you will assist in assessing inventory quality, such as overstock and product rotation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to Product Strategy: Support the development and refinement of the product strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and helping the team deliver maximum value.
  • Assist with Requirement Gathering: Help gather and document user requirements, while considering market trends and customer feedback to shape and define product features.
  • Backlog Assistance: Assist in managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that features align with strategic goals and provide value.
  • Monitor Product Performance: Support the monitoring of product performance KPIs and contribute to identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Assist in managing stakeholders by maintaining communication throughout the product lifecycle and building strong relationships.
  • Support Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering Managers and other product teams to help design user-friendly experiences and align on product goals.
  • Team Support and Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to ensure a shared understanding of the backlog and assist in the smooth delivery of features.
  • Process Learning: Learn and adhere to product development processes and Agile methodologies, contributing to a culture of discipline and consistent standards.

Qualifications

  • Basic Analytical Skills: Some experience in data collection and analysis, with a focus on critical thinking and problem-solving to contribute to rational solutions.
  • Technical Understanding: Basic understanding or willingness to learn technical product setup, integration patterns, and architecture, which will help shape your understanding of the product and the team backlog.
  • Agile and Product Ownership: Some experience with Jira, collaborative tools, sprints, and product strategy, with an eagerness to develop these skills further.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Some experience in organizing teams and stakeholders around development initiatives, with a focus on value, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
  • Personality: Highly motivated and engaged team player who acts with integrity. You are self-organized, focused on your goals, and open to feedback. You have a strong desire to grow, reflect, and help your team develop.

Additional Information

This role is a 12-month Maternity Cover.
