Job Description
In order to be able to supply our customers across Europe quickly and in accordance with our quality standards, our European distribution centers are an integral part of the zooplus network. Logistics service providers are operating the 11 Fulfillment centers all over Europe. As zooplus is growing fast a constant increase in fulfillment capacity is required. Zooplus fulfillment automation strategy is leading to retrofits of existing FCs and high complex intra logistics solutions for new FCs.
In this role, the Fulfillment Center Launch Manager is leading projects around new Fulfillment Center launches, Fulfillment Center extensions, retrofits and Supply Chain related amendments as well as potential Fulfillment Center closures. In this role you are responsible in coordinating the cross-fuctional teams, identifying risks and ensuring the in-time delivery of the project in accordance with the project goals. The constant growth of the Fulfillment Network requires permanent review of processes, as well as further development of standards.
Tasks:
- Project lead for extensions, retrofits and bigger FC launches as well as potential FC closures
- Leading cross-departmental projects
- Help to drive the strategic development of the Concepts & Analytics Team
- Development of new processes and standards and implementing them, identifying of best practice approaches in order to optimize costs, service and quality
- Data-driven decision making with data collection, analysis, and evaluation
- Creation of business cases including correct cost models and P&L analyzes
- Development of the Project Management Toolbox and Methodology together with the team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years working experience in a comparable position related to project management, preferable in operations
- Experience in small warehouse launches or warehouse extensions/retrofits is a plus, preferable e-commerce
- Experience in leading medium complex to complex role related projects
- Quick to understand complex, cross-department processes & IT structures
- Sound experience in project management toolbox (i.e. traditional and agile project management)
- Understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and technical requirements
- Openness to travel (up to 30% a month, depending on project)
