Job Description

At zooplus, we're dedicated to optimizing our supply chain for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. With a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, we're constantly seeking talented individuals to join our Supply Chain Management Team and drive strategic and tactical initiatives.

As a Supply Chain Specialist focusing on assortment and visibility, you'll be integral in steering decisions across our end-to-end supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be optimizing assortment allocation within our extensive European logistics network, encompassing over 10 Fulfilment Centers (FCs) and a growing inventory of 17,000 SKUs. Additionally, managing article visibility will be crucial for enhancing customer purchasing experiences and minimizing split-parcels, which can disrupt operations and increase costs. 

Your role will entail analyzing efficiency defects, proposing and implementing improvements, and refining algorithms to automate assortment allocation and visibility decisions. Collaboration with stakeholders from logistics, category management, purchasing, and IT functions will be essential to drive best practices and ensure optimal assortment allocation.

Your tasks: 

  • Support the assortment listing process, including initial listing, updates, and end-of-life cycle management. 
  • Monitor logistics efficiency and adjust allocation budgets accordingly. 
  • Evaluate the existing assortment, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive solutions. 
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive optimal assortment allocation. 
  • Provide data-driven feedback and support for assortment-related projects. 
  • Analyze root causes of efficiency defects and propose improvements. 
  • Parameterize and improve algorithms for assortment allocation and visibility decisions. 
  • Drive automation initiatives to enhance supply chain processes. 
  • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure optimal assortment allocation.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. 
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Python. 
  • Experience with data visualization tools, Tableau proficiency preferred. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset. 
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic initiatives with daily operational tasks. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English
