Senior Inventory Manager (all genders)
We are looking for a passionate and result-driven Senior Inventory Manager (all genders) with strong analytical skills, the ability to consider the bigger picture when executing quantitative tasks, and effective communication skills to join the Procurement & Inventory Management team. The Procurement & Inventory Management team is part of the Operations Area in zooplus and makes sure, that the products are available in the warehouses for customer orders. In this high impact role you will identify opportunities and drive projects to continuously improve availability and drive inventory health. You will closely collaborate with senior management in various functions like logistics, vendor management, or tech team and directly report to the Director Inbound Logistics.
Your tasks:
- Analyzing overstock (OV)/out of stock (OOS) developments and its root causes
- Initiating & executing actions to fix OOS/OV issues in the short-term
- Lead cross-functional project teams for structural improvements – internally and externally with suppliers/service providers
- Align on measures, (re-) evaluate and (re-)prioritize if necessary with relevant stakeholders
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and implement change initiatives
- Define and execute reporting & governance structure around OOS/OV
- Collaborate with internal tech teams and contribute to further enhance system capabilities and automation of key processes
Qualifications
- MBA/Master's Degree
- 5+ years of working experience, thereof 3+ years in a project oriented and analytically focused role (e.g. consulting, project management, business analyst)
- Experience within Procurement or Logistics/Operations, focused on inventory/in-stock management
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment, building scalable systems & processes
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Great team player with the ability to communicate and work with people on different levels, expertise, and locations
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage diverse stakeholder interests
- Advanced Excel user; experience with SQL and PowerPivot is a plus
