Job Title: Digital Mortgage Expert 

Holiday Cottage Mortgages is looking to hire a Mortgage Broker / Digital Mortgage Expert

Role Summary: Play a critical role in changing the face of the mortgage industry. Working alongside the CEO and technical team to shape and develop our online offering. No sales required - all leads will be provided to you via our online platform. Providing expert mortgage advice to clients who are looking to secure a holiday let mortgage.

Location: Stylish, open-plan office based in Cobham, Surrey. Parking available and free shuttle to and from Cobham train station.

Salary: £30,000 per annum plus performance-related bonus (Salary range £30,000-45,000 per annum)

Background

Are you an experienced mortgage expert who would like to challenge the status quo? Are you bright, ambitious and self-starting? Do you want to take a critical role in the launch of this exciting start-up, working directly alongside the founder and his team of marketeers, software engineers and designers?

You will be the face and voice of our business, the expert that helps our customers get the very best mortgage solution to support their dream of owning and running a holiday home. You will use your experience and customer interactions to lead, shape and influence the customer experience and the tech that provides this seamless, pain-free journey.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Creating and delivering unrivalled industry service and expert mortgage advice for our customers, ensuring great feedback and building a pipeline of repeat business
  • Speaking to, and advising early stage clients, reviewing initial customer assessments and helping to guide them in the right direction
  • Working proactively with lenders to establish lending potential and answer customer queries
  • Sourcing the very best mortgage products for each and every customer
  • Issuing efficient, bespoke recommendations to our customers
  • Producing illustrations, suitability letters and all key compliance documentation to support each case
  • Managing an ongoing pipeline of applications proactively, efficiently & effectively
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to shape the customer solution and deliver the best results for our customers

Your Skills and Experience

  • Good GCSE/O-Level grades and ideally good A level grades
  • CeMAP qualified with at least 3 years of practical experience
  • Whole of market mortgage experience, ideally with examples of arranging buy to let and holiday let mortgages
  • Have years of experience working with lenders to evaluate new opportunities, submit DIP’s and complete full mortgage applications and managing those cases through to completion
  • Fully versed with modern compliance requirements and has an excellent track record of keeping cases accurate and fully filed with no penalties
