Job Description

We are actively seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead, supervise, support and engage our clinical staff of LVNS and CNAs in our Guest House. Our nurses are the cornerstone of our unique Zen Hospice Project care model. They are trained in end of life care best practices - including advanced symptom management rooted in mindful and compassionate caregiving modalities - that strive to create a compassionate, genuine, comprehensive and respectful approach to those facing the end of their lives. They serve our residents with uncompromising attention to detail and deserve a leader who can do the same for them. Example responsibilities of the Clinical Manager include:

- Successfully supervise the nursing team through management and leadership, team building, effective communication, coaching, and mentoring

- Provide direct patient care while nurses are on break

- Provide basic oversight of all residents and ensure an appropriate level of care

- Communicate and collaborate with other ZHP and hospice team members to coordinate the care plan 

- Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff on a day-to-day basis 

- Actively participate in quality management programs to ensure the highest standard of care

- Ensure organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements, including liaison and communication with Department of Social Services (DSS) 

- Maintain and update policy and procedure manuals to ensure alignment with current practices. Evaluate facility services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives, ensuring nursing staff remains current with clinical information and practices

- Hire and train new nurses including onboarding to ZHP

- Participate and collaborate with volunteer program as needed for training of new volunteers 


Qualifications

- In depth knowledge of and commitment to ZHP's mission and core values

- Current RN license or LVN license

- 5+ year of clinical experience in palliative/end-of-life/hospice care

- 3+ years of direct people management experience

- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
