Job Description

Z On the Go and Transforming Convenience Retail is one of our strategic pillars and we are excited to welcome a Mātanga Mekameka Hokohuhua Convenience Retail Supply Chain Specialist in this newly created role.

Your mahi will work closely with our Category team managing full end to end Supply Chain operations across our retail network. Your days will be full and varied, you might be forecasting and demand planning for our core range and exciting offers, problem solving a delivery issue, working with distributors on safety guidelines or ensuring our sites get the product they need to drive sales

You will have the opportunity to

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across our retail network while developing and executing supply chain strategies that drive commercial benefit and product availability
  • Manage supplier and vendor relationships, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency in sourcing and distribution
  • Oversee logistics planning and execution, warehousing, and delivery responding to any disruptions as they occur
  • In conjunction with Category Managers, manage forecasting and stock levels to ensure availability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with teams to align supply chain planning with promotional activity and seasonal demand cycles
  • Identify opportunities for supply chain innovation and improvements for Suppliers, Z & site teams

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of supply chain management ideally within the FMCG channel
  • A strong understanding of the New Zealand supply chain landscape, including regional logistics and transport infrastructure
  • Great relationship building skills, this role will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent skills in the Microsoft suite with a focus on Excel
  • An analytical mindset and strong financial and budgeting knowledge
  • Experience in procurement would be useful in this role
  • A passion for convenience retail, a service mindset and the energy to work in a fast paced and changing landscape!

The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $120,000 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
