Job Description

As a Lead Model Validation Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the validation and review of the most complex and significant financial, statistical, and behavioral models that drive the business. Also be a part of the team that analyzes the business for risk and for opportunity!

 

 Responsibilities:

·        Support the model validation team to mitigate the model risks; Monitoring and validating aggregate model risk to ensure alignment with the Co. risk strategy

·        focusing on the most complex and significant models used within the organization; ensuring a thorough review by challenging key aspects of each model;

·        Discovers and diagnoses modeling related risks including input data, assumption, concept, methodology, process and implementation

·        Leading validations of financial, statistical, and behavioral models to determine theoretical soundness, testing, design, and points of weakness

·        SME on models’ strength and weakness and recommend practical solutions

·        Overseeing the development of challenger models that help validate existing models and assist with outcome analysis

·        Identifying opportunities to use data in ways that enhance the strategic decisions

·        Interpreting data to recognize any potential risk exposure

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·        Masters degree in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, finance, or equivalent is preferred; PhD is preferred

·        4+ years experience in the development or model validation of financial, or statistical models

·        Strength in statistics and Mathematics

·        Experience with documenting technical aspects of a model

·        Experience in presenting results/findings

·        Work experience in SPSS, SAS and/or SQL

·        Proficient in either R, or Python

·        Proficient in Microsoft computer applications, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Outgoing personality

·        Positive nature

·        Team player

Compensation: $110,000 - 145,000  and great benefits!!!
