Job Description

The successful candidate will contribute with multi-disciplinary teams to bring projects from concept through development and commercialization. They will also provide technical leadership, design, and testing of products and documenting conformance of our products to international standards. 

The ability to build relationships cross functionally is important in this role, as this person will interface with others in the Research and Development group, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Planning/Logistics, Packaging/Labeling and with Outside Partners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops new product concepts from initial design to market release.
  • Participate in multi-departmental teams, to conduct product development and support maintenance of business activities.
  • Manage assigned project tasks to established timelines and generate/maintain status updates.
  • Designs and implements new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products to bring concept to market, including essential product and process documentation.
  • Conducts feasibility studies of the design to determine ability to function as intended.
  • Prepare project plans that specify project phases, tasks, task interdependencies, durations, resource assignments, and costs. Provide regular status updates to project team and management.
  • Help manage efforts of other engineers, technicians, and supervisors.
  • Conduct risk analysis for products under development.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of product design, development, and project management experience with at least 2 years medical device exp.
  • Product development/testing experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience with MS Office & MS Project.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing tooling, equipment, and process development.
  • Experience working with operations to develop strong manufacturing process instructions and operator training to ensure smooth product transition into the manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience interfacing with suppliers, contract designers and manufacturers.

Compensation:  $100,000 - $115,000 + 10% Bonus, several weeks of vacation and great benefits
