We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team as we expand our reward product offering for corporates. 

In this role you will collaborate with a small team who delivers remarkable solutions to our clients in the rewards sector. You will work closely with a Senior Engineer and QA Engineer that is fast moving and relies on self management & ownership. 

Your solutions will focus on developing rewards and loyalty solutions that add value to our corporate clients and their customers.  You will leverage your Node and JavaScript skills to provide additional engineering capacity for our exciting road map.

Our solutions cater to the ever-changing needs of end consumers, but also to sustain the client’s competitive edge in the market. In order to achieve this, you will be leveraging multiple internal systems as well as integrating into 3rd party systems.

We leverage this cutting edge experience and agility to foster deep collaboration partnerships with our clients ultimately adding value to their end customers on a daily basis.

Your role and responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop APIs used by cross-platform applications. 

• Development of well-structured and maintainable web and mobile applications.

• Writing code which is reusable, testable and efficient.

• Design and propose integration approaches with third party services, to enhance capabilities of our product offering.

• Collaborating within a cross-functional team to plan and estimate the team’s work in a Scrum/Kanban hybrid workflow.

• Working in a fast-moving but stable environment in a continuous deployment workflow.

• Contributing in planning sessions and retrospectives.

• Technical analysis of business requirements.

• Design and build of software and database solutions and frameworks.

• Unit and integration testing.

• Deployment package creation.

• Production defect, enhancement and ad-hoc query resolution.

• Continuous improvement of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Qualifications, experience and skills we are looking for: 

• A relevant tertiary level qualification (BSc, BTech or BEng) in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar.

• Demonstrated history of developing and maintaining full stack websites, web applications and mobi sites.

• Minimum of 5 years full stack development experience.

• Extensive experience using Spring Boot, Node and Wildfly/Glassfish.

• Experience with Java, React, ReactJS, Javascript and Typescript.

• Experience with RESTful and SOAP API integrations.

• Cloud experience on AWS will be a nice-to-have.

• Experience in the Financial Services and Transaction processing industry

• Is attentive to details; our solutions are used in tier 1 high availability applications, like banking and telco apps, where all use cases must be covered to retain transactional integrity

• Able to provide support after hours where necessary for scheduled maintenance slots or severity 1 incidences.
