Job Description

We're hiring Junior-Mid UX/UI Designers for a leading Financial Services Company, where you'll be part of our client’s Digital Design Hub while employed by Yoyo.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Product Design Lead and developers to create engaging user experiences and polished UI designs across our digital products. Guided by the Lead Designer, you'll contribute to the design process, assisting in user research, wireframing, prototyping, UI design, testing, and product quality assurance.

Your role and responsibilities will include:

You will be working closely with the lead product designer, product manager, and development team.

User Research

  • Assist the Lead Product Designer in the user research phase – this will include the initial interview process, gathering insights and your fresh perspective, as well as usability testing of the products during the design lifecycle.

User Experience

  • Collaborate with your fellow junior designers and your Product Design Lead to fully understand the product requirements and needs of the user.

Product design 

  • Support the Product Design Lead to create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to communicate the design thinking and ideas to the broader team.

  • Developing a high-fidelity UI for the various products – a knowledge of designing for web and mobile friendly products will be useful – understanding React Native Design, and the Material vs IOS guidelines.

  • Build out the positive and negative customer flows for stakeholders to ensure a great customer journey

Inter-team collaboration

  • Work with your Design Lead and the developers to understand the tech constraints.

  • Work with engineers during the development phase to ensure designs are expanded into all use cases and implemented as envisioned.

  • Support the lead product designer and larger stakeholders with their day to day design needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications, experience and skills we are looking for:

  • A reputable qualification in Design. 

  • If you have qualifications in a related field that can benefit you in this role, it will be a bonus.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a UX / UI / CX role.

  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD and related design software.

  • Experience or eagerness to work within a cross functional development team.

  • A basic understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.

  • Experience in designing for the Financial Sector or payment platforms will be a plus to ensure consistency and scalability across products.

  • Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and adapt to Design Feedback.

  • A portfolio of evidence that showcases your design experience, passion projects or case studies that you would be proud to present.

The design tools you will be using:

  • Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
