Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as the driving force for maintaining and strengthening partnerships with the company’s leadership and employees that align with the company’s business objectives, values, and policies. This role will oversee efforts made regarding employee performance, retention, and care. The HRBP will also be responsible for collaborating with leadership and the People Operations team to ensure a strong, inclusive company culture that fosters empowerment, growth, respect, and teamwork. This role has the flexibility to be remote, in office (American Fork, Utah), or hybrid.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult, train and coach employees and management, providing HR guidance
  • Work cross-departmentally and draw connections among multiple teams
  • Analyze trends, metrics, and employee feedback to develop programs, policies, and solutions with the People Operations team
  • Stay current with updates to employment law, HR trends and best practices. Collaborate with legal counsel to advise and ensure regulatory compliance and reduce legal risk
  • Oversee and identify areas of opportunity for employee performance, including 1:1s and Individual Development Plan (IDP) engagement and tracking
  • Work with People Ops and L&D team to update and implement an employee professional development program
  • Collect variable compensation data from managers on a quarterly basis
  • Serve as main POC and submit paperwork for any employee HR needs (e.g., FMLA, ADA accommodations, leave requests (outside of standard PTO), investigations, workers comp)
  • Maintain employee records in company’s G Drive and HRIS
  • Main POC for annual benefits renewal and open enrollment periods
  • Advise stakeholders and oversee employee benefits and programs
  • Provide guidance on Employee Handbook policy development, interpretation, and application
  • Assist with workforce forecasting and succession planning
  • Assist with organizational and internal operations change management 
  • Address and mediate complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations when needed
  • Offboard employees including exit interviews, terminations, coordinating logistics, and submitting paperwork
  • Onboard new employees into company HRIS and advise on benefits-enrollment process
  • Work with People Ops and leadership with strategy regarding company culture, employee retention, and satisfaction
  • Conduct internal feedback surveys including company pulse, manager feedback, and employee feedback surveys
  • Collaborate with marketing and People Ops on its Employer Branding strategy and implementation

Qualifications

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • 4-year college degree or commensurate work experience
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or HR certification qualified
  • Proven experience and understanding of HR best practices and employment policies
  • 3+ years HR/People Operations experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Diplomacy and discretion, liaising, de-escalation, and mediation skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Knowledge of project management and HR-specific tools including Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM’s, HRIS platforms, e-signing tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with gathering and analyzing data to monitor and advise program effectiveness, employee performance, and employee satisfaction
  • Experience working with distributed team members
  • Problem solving skills
