Job Description

Product Marketing Manager at YouScience will take ownership of our end-to-end Product Marketing strategy to help us bring our world-changing products to market in a significant way. You will take ownership for our flagship products featured in the YouScience Student Journey platform.

You will take ownership of understanding the market, opportunity, and roadmap to improve our ability to bring products to market in a more significant way. These products change lives, and you have the opportunity to lead the way. You will work with the Product Managers to create and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies and positioning to bring these products to market.  

You are also responsible for the enablement of a powerful direct and indirect sales force, ensuring everyone has a deep understanding of our audience personas and how our solutions meet those needs. This includes training around key pain points, our value proposition, and key messaging.

Qualifications

What you’ll do

  • Work with product management to devise and create Go to Market campaigns, messaging, positioning, marketing materials, and support resources that helps us sell our products with greater consistency and value.
  • Own messaging and positioning for our products to ensure they land at the right level, with the right audience, with the right value proposition.
  • Help us tell our product story, leaning into use cases, case studies, and product features and benefits that connect with customers.
  • Research, develop, and produce content for the website, sales collateral, and other marketing assets that reinforce our product benefits and customer careabouts.
  • Own competitive research to improve positioning and differentiation strategies.
  • Help us establish our product marketing discipline, brining best practices and insights that set a proper foundation for success.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization.

Skills to help you succeed

  • Proven expertise in driving product adoption outcomes and KPIs for the products that you own. Key metrics include adoption, utilization, impact, and more.
  • Ability to bring to light new ways to improve the product onboarding, usage, and relevance to customers.
  • Leadership and project management skills for all product marketing programs.
  • Ability to analyze and define our product marketing strategy across channels to drive awareness and demand for YouScience products. 
  • Understanding of how to build and execute the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for your products.
  • Messaging expertise to help position products across your product portfolio across different buyer personas and lifecycle journeys.
  • Passion for customer insights. Abie to understand our customers’ needs at a deep level and use this to create and execute powerful marketing materials to tell that story in a more impactful way.
  • Willingness to become an evangelist for our products internally and externally, speaking with customers and creating demos that help our customers know our value proposition.
  • Enable sales and channel partners with training and collateral for successful outcomes
  • Collaborate with product, technology, marketing, and others to ensure end to end connection and collaboration works for the betterment of our customers.
  • Conduct competitive analysis across product portfolio to influence and inform roadmap
  • Recommend pricing and packaging changes as appropriate.

Expertise you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent professional experience, or life experience in Product Marketing or other skills that give you the ability to be successful in this role.
  • 3-5 years’ experience building and executing product marketing for technology, SaaS, software, or other technology products.
  • Proven ability to build product marketing strategies and execution programs that advance our company goals.
  • Ability to be strategic and tactical as needed, both building the strategy and managing the execution of your projects across all workstreams.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across our growing company.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate at a business and strategic level. Great writer and speaker.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based on performance and financial data.
  • Great attention to detail and able to tackle many projects at once.
  • Experience or willingness to work in ambiguity. We don’t always have answers but love people who are willing to figure things out.
  • Experience selling to educational institutions a plus. B2B experience very helpful.
