Start Date: Immediately
Work schedule: must be available during normal business hours.
The Network/System Administrators are responisble for onboarding and supporting small and medium scale enterprise business networks, both remotely and on-site. The Network/Systems Administrator will also work cross functionally with other YWITS support teams to deliver comprehensive IT Solutions. This position requires excellent communication and strong technical skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Visit client sites in the Washington, DC metro area to perform proactive and reactive network support services.
- Consult with clients on technology best practices and solutions to business technology problems.
- Meet with clients to disucss business technology needs and available options and solutions.
- Provide technical documentation of existing systems configurations.
- Help cusomters keep technology alignment with business objectives.
- Engineering of SA-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft and VMware
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in a high profile and fast-paced environment required supporting 10+ servers
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Candidate must be capable of working with minimal supervision and demonstrate superior team skills
- Ability to prioritize and resolve issues within defined time frames
- Proven ability to effectively and efficiently research complex technical problems using the internet, written literature, vendor support and colleagues.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Technical Skills:
More Than 5 Years of experience, knowledge and troubleshooting of:
- Windows Server 2003-2016
- VMWare ESXi and vCenter
- Hyper-V
- Microsoft Exchange and Exchange online
- Microsoft SharePoint and SharePoint Online
- AD, DHCP, DNS and Domain Controllers
- Office 365 administration/migration
- Microsoft Azure
- Backup Software (Acronis, Symantec Backup Exec etc.)
- Managing firewalls, switches and security devices
- Experience with one or more ticketing systems and remote support tools a must
- Experience with network monitoring tools (LabTech/ConnectWise Automate preferred, Kaseya, SolarWinds, SCCM etc.)
- Experience using group policy, commands prompts, PowerShell, DNS, and troubleshooting LAN and WAN connectivity problems
- Familiarity with ITILv3, ISO or related service delivery frameworks a plus
