In-House Desktop Support Specialist for a Nursing Home
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated In-House Desktop Support Specialist to join our Managed Service Provider (MSP) team and serve as the single point of contact for technical support at a nursing home. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for a wide range of devices and systems, including printers, fax machines, desktops, laptops, Android/iOS devices, surveillance cameras, and network connectivity issues. Additionally, this role will involve managing authorized user access, assisting with onboarding new users, and resolving email-related problems.
Job Description
Printers/Fax Maintenance and Support:
- Perform regular maintenance on printers and fax machines.
Network Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
- Possess knowledge of router configuration and basic networking concepts.
- Assist in setting up VPN, WiFi, and router configurations.
Surveillance Cameras Support:
- Monitor and troubleshoot surveillance camera systems.
- Ensure the proper functioning of camera equipment.
Authorized User Access Management and Support:
- Manage user access rights and permissions.
- Assist in creating and modifying user accounts.
- Resolve access-related issues and inquiries.
- Computer and Peripherals Hardware and Software Support:
Provide hardware and software support for desktops and laptops.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computer components.
- Assist in software installation and configuration.
Desktop Hardware, Software, and Peripherals Installation and Configuration:
- Set up and configure new desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Install and configure software applications.
- Ensure proper functionality of desktop systems.
Android/iOS Devices Setup, Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, and Connectivity Support:
- Assist in setting up and configuring Android and iOS devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mobile devices.
Troubleshooting Email Issues:
- Identify and resolve email-related problems.
- Assist users with email setup and configuration.
- Coordinate with email service providers for more complex issues.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in desktop support and IT troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in hardware and software support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Sound knowledge of basic networking concepts, including VPN, WiFi, and routers.
- Solid experience with Active Directory and ticketing systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks effectively.
