Yee Hong is one of the largest not-for-profit senior care organizations in the country, delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate services to Chinese and other Asian seniors since 1994. Operating 805 long-term care home beds, a wide range of community support services, and a hospice residence, Yee Hong annually serves more than 15,000 individuals across the Greater Toronto Area. Yee Hong also builds seniors organization and system capacity through its advisory services, Private Personal Support Worker Career College, and research.

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, implements preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, performs minor repair and maintenance on equipment, and ensures that the building is maintained in a clean, attractive and safe condition.

• High school completed, and at least 1 year relevant courses in building system maintenance at the community college level
• Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably in building maintenance
• Knowledge of legislations and relevant procedures regarding building standards, fire and safety
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs for building systems
• Computer literacy and comfort level using computer software applications
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize and time manage building maintenance tasks

• Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending
• Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact
• May be required to work an ocassional  alternate shift(s) to meet operational needs (e.g., emergency, training, accommodation, etc.) including nights and weekends as per scheduling practices
