Yapily is building API connections to all banks, normalising and enriching the data, and providing it through a highly secure API. We’re the only native API platform designed from the ground up for Open Finance.

We are now looking for a part-time in house legal counsel to help us as we expand. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in one of the fastest growing areas in Fintech. 

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts 

• Defining templates, terms and conditions for products new to the industry 

• Partnering the business leads in dispute resolution 

• Publishing agreements, technology agreements and responsibility for legal operations 

• Advising on data risk, privacy and protection matters 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Lawyer with fintech law experience and proven experience advising on financial technology law issues

• Minimum 5 years PQE 

• Fintech expertise and experience advising on legal issues arising in connection with financial technology

• Experience in-house working as part of team 

• Experience working on a cross border, multi-jurisdictional basis 

• Exceptional legal drafting, negotiation and analytical skills 

• Self-starter 

• Ability to manage the provision of legal advice on multiple projects in a high volume, fast-paced environment 

• Ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision 

• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills 

• Qualified & practicing solicitor of England and Wales Degree level education
