Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Product Support Engineer (consultant role). This position will be based out of Fremont, CA. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, the Product Support Engineer should be able to help grow out the Wet Clean Optimization service. You will be a part of team that is rapidly growing, and has a high-profile presence within the organization. You will be able to contribute and make a difference in how this service is created, designed and delivered to our client's valued customers.

You will be responsible for producing, implementing and maintaining solutions as well as participating in troubleshooting and issue resolution working with field support teams. As an engineer, you will be in one of the fastest-growing businesses at the client’s location in Fremont where their products are scaling rapidly.

Additional Information

Candidate Requirements Include:


  • Experienced in writing procedures for equipment operation and/or maintenance

    • Experience in working with a document Content Management System a plus

  • At least 1 year experience with semiconductor equipment (knowledge, operation, maintenance, and/or cleaning)

    • Knowledge of, or operating experience with, etch chamber hardware a plus

  • Familiarity with common Best Known Methods (BKM) for process chamber maintenance and cleaning a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, highly proficient in Excel

  • Highly detail oriented and thorough work ethic

  • Basic project management abilities (developing schedule, coordinating actions, communicating deliverables, etc.)

  • Proficient with Windows PCs and folder/file management

  • Experience with DITA XML a plus

  • Excellent communication skills and people skills

  • Education – BS in Engineering or equivalent


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Understanding of specialized maintenance  procedure structure and media formats, as well as overall customer package format

  • Familiarity with product tablet and software, including uploading of customer package(s) to a tablet

  • Ability to perform technical scoping of field change requests

  • Documenting all aligned scoping information, project stages, as well as target and actual completion dates

  • Ability to execute aligned scope of changes from field request

  • Routing the revised customer package for review. Communicating and aligning with the reviewing engineer to perform any additional edits and finalize the revised customer package

  • Publishing the finalized customer package and communicating with the field change requester to provide them the finalized package

  • Creating the summary document for the revised procedures and recording revision history

  • Administering content translation projects (will require implementation of Content Management System)

Job Type: This is a 12-month contract opportunity with one of our premier direct clients in Fremont, CA (onsite). For the right candidate, contract may convert to a full-time role.
