Job Description

Reporting to the Record to Report Manager, the Group Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in the financial reporting function, supporting the preparation and analysis of financial statements for our group of companies. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering high-quality financial information.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare consolidated IFRS group accounts and UK statutory accounts for subsidiary companies.
  • Prepare the group consolidation, including gathering financial data from subsidiaries, ensuring the elimination of intercompany transactions, preparation of group cash flow statements, performing CTA proofs and other equity checks. 
  • Present accounting conclusions and bookings for complex transactions to external auditors in order to ensure their full understanding to ensure smooth and timely audit approval.
  • Act as the key contact from Group Finance for any complex transactions the business enters into, including business acquisitions. Ensure that the details and accounting for any complex transactions is appropriately documented and that the transactions are correctly recorded in the general ledger and correctly presented in external reports.
  • Perform the monthly accounting of share based payments, leases.
  • Develop a process for intercompany reconciliations, ensuring elimination of intercompany balances and transactions on a monthly basis.
  • Gather and summarize relevant financial data from various sources, including budgets, forecasts, and market data, to support the goodwill impairment testing process and serve as touch point to third-party valuation firm.
  • Perform sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of changes in key assumptions on the results of the goodwill impairment test.
  • Help develop and maintain an accounting manual
  • Coordinate the documentation of policies and procedures for the Finance team and ensure annual review process is established.
  • Take initiative to lead projects (e.g., transition to new accounting standards) and make improvements in processes to ensure a smoother year-end audit and higher quality of reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and audit, to support the overall financial reporting objectives of the organization, including reconciliation to internal performance management reporting.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Strong experience in group consolidation, technical financial accounting, and reporting.
  • Experience with financial systems, preferably Netsuite and Onestream.
  • Strong controls bias and experience (SOX preferable)
  • Experience in preparation of consolidated IFRS accounts
  • Experience of managing external audit to tight deadlines
  • IFRS and US GAAP experience
  • Excellent people management skills with experience of working with remote teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform complex analysis and reconciliations.
  • Experienced in leading process improvement and the execution of new processes and procedures
  • Ability to build and nurture productive working relationships with individuals and teams regionally and globally
  • Must be innovative, good communication, presentation and analytical skills
