We offer market-leading software products like Mariana Tek, TrueCoach, Clubware, Resamania and Triib as well as Commerce Accelerating Technologies like Connect (Brandbot) and Insights (Intellihub) to gyms, health clubs, leisure, parks & recreation centers.

You’ll work on our Mariana Tek product. Mariana Tek is a studio management software built by real players in the fitness industry. We take all the complexities of running a studio and make it easy to use, brand centric, and fitness focused.

Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who is excited about the challenge of reliably operating and scaling Xplor product platforms. As a member of the infrastructure team, you will help us develop infrastructure as code, monitoring services, and delivery pipelines, that serve our team's software and customer-facing products. You will work closely with a smart and dedicated team to solve challenging problems across a variety of domains, including monitoring and alerting, containers, networking, scalability, and many more. 

Our technical stack includes the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Terraform, PostgreSQL, DataDog, Python, and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Contributing clean infrastructure code to optimize system reliability, performance, and efficiency. 

  • Collaborating closely with product stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver and scale secure, stable, observable applications. 

  • Proactively writing monitors and alerts to ensure actionable data insights are provided to application and infrastructure teams. 

  • Documenting to ensure the utility and maintainability of the platform and shared services. 

  • Participating in operations and on-call duties. 

  • Providing constructive feedback on your colleagues’ pull requests and accepting constructive feedback on your own PRs in return. 

  • Participating actively and thoughtfully in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from planning to testing to release within an Agile ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in professional software development in an infrastructure/ DevOps capacity. 

  • Thorough knowledge of web application performance monitoring and troubleshooting. 

  • Ability to automate complex workloads. 

  • Experience working on a high-traffic multi-tiered web applications across multiple geographic zones. 

  • Experience with container orchestration frameworks. 

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform. 

  • Experience with Cloud technologies; including global elastic horizontal scaling; specifically on AWS. 

  • Experience with event-driven systems. 

  • Experience with continuous integration utilizing GitHub tooling. 

  • Experience administering Linux operating systems. 

  • Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum). 

  • Experience with applying security and regulatory standards in a global SaaS offering.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and kindly with technical and non-technical colleagues. 

  • Ability to lead through influence. 

  • Able to work as a part of a team, but also pursue individual objectives. 

  • Willing to be a mentor to your colleagues and learn from them as well. 

  • An interest in learning about various technologies, our products, and the boutique fitness industry.
