Job Description

Our aspiration is to build the number 1 recognised Gym Software in the Market and we are excited about the challenge of achieving that here at Xplor.

This role would ideally suit someone with strong .NET skill to support our legacy product but you will also be working and gaining experience working on our micro services cloud product with a view to move into this space in the future with Clubware.

Reporting into the Developer Chapter Lead you’ll contribute to software projects in all aspects of system analysis, design, coordination, documentation, implementation, and testing and lead software engineers within a scrum team to enhance team culture, manage personnel and provide performance feedback.

Some of the other responsibilities you’ll have:

  • Analyse, design, coordinate, document, and undertake the development of software systems for assigned projects.
  • Write, edit, and debug software for assigned projects.
  • Contribute to analysis of software projects including performance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct peer reviews for other members of the development team, ensuring that project conventions are adhered too and that requirements are correctly implemented.
  • Work with staff and clients to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation of existing software projects.
  • Assist QA with automation testing as needed.
  • Work with staff and clients to identify opportunities for new software projects that will be of benefit to the organisation.
  • Provide feedback to staff and clients about performance considerations / usability issues concerning software specifications and implementation
  • Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to diagnose and resolve software problems.
  • Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of applications development team.
  • To act as a member of an agile development team (e.g. a SCRUM Sprint Team) as and when required to fulfil role responsibilities and objectives.
  • To assist with Technical Peer Review with Product Owners and Technical Implementation Teams.


What would make me a good candidate?     

  • 5+ years’ with Microsoft .NET stack. C# desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft .Net framework including Windows Forms and Windows Services.
  • Experience with Azure .
  • Experience with Integrating with 3rd party APIs.
  • Experience in ORM and 3rd party libraries desirable.
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment.
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Version Control Systems using GIT or TFS.
  • Relational databases more specifically in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in Json, REST API, web services, JavaScript.
  • Interest in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Advance understanding of .NET language, architecture and design standards.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented development principles.
  • Experience with popular open source web development projects, such as JQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS.
