Job Description

You’ll join Xplor Education and our Engineering team, the team that provides the support and expertise educators need to manage their centres smoothly, improve parent engagement, and deliver the best educational experience, so that they can focus on what really matters - helping children succeed. 
 
Reporting into the Tech Lead, you’ll work with your dedicated team to ensure projects and features are delivered on time and to best practice & quality guidelines. Some of the other responsibilities you’ll have:

  • Take a proactive, hands-on, and collaborative approach in all sprints and tasks
  • Contribute to technical discussions
  • Significantly contribute to technical decisions and solutions 
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on delivery progress and timing 
  • Actively contribute to the engineering team culture and implementation of best practices 
  • Participate in the design, development and maintenance of applications and services for use in the QikKids platform

Qualifications

  • Formal Computer Science qualifications or equivalent extensive experience 
  • Experience working on large and complex software projects
  • Minimum of 3 years programming in C++
  • Familiarity with MS MFC application development and MS Visual Studio 
  • SQL experience, preferably using MS SQL
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Subversion
  • An understanding of basic Accounting Principles
  • While not essential to the role, any C#/.net experience will be well regarded
