About the opportunity

You’ll join Xplor Health & Fitness and our Development team — the team that provides support and expertise to health clubs, gyms, community centres as well as the leisure, parks and recreation industry. Whether small and independent or large franchises, we build everything they need to run their business, motivate their customers and build lasting fitness communities.

Reporting into Head of Product you'll contribute to the overall Clubware Strategy for designing, creating, and maintaining business applications and reports that drive innovation, client value and business efficiency.

This position will focus specifically on building our data pipelines / wharehouse and will use various methods to transform our raw data into useful data systems that can be used for both internal and business management reporting and dashboards.  This will be the precursor for our move to a BI service portal within our Clubware product so that enables us to strive for efficiency by aligning our data systems with business goals.

  • List of main responsibilities
  • Understand our customer and internal needs - requirements
  • Build and analyse dashboards around those metrics and levers
  • Build data sets and models to empower operational and exploratory analysis
  • Monitor and discover trends, patterns and root causes of changes
  • Work within cross-functional teams to tell stories behind the data and drive decisions
  • Prioritise areas of opportunity to drive growth and quality
  • Present findings, state of metrics and experiment results to the Clubware Team or stakeholders
  • Data evangelist within teams for best data and analytics practices

Qualifications

What would make me a good candidate?

  • Great at problem solving and sharing their findings to a variety of audiences.
  • What makes you stand out is your ability to take business requirements / logic and transform these into great useable functionality within the product [FE / BE Development]
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of outputs, exercising sound judgment while analysing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for business leaders.
  • Willingness to learn, interact, liaise and consult with a diverse set of people.
  • Strong team collaborator and delivery focused.
  • Experience in Agile delivery methodologies  such as Scrum, Kanban or KABI.
  • Strong proven knowledge and experience / expertise of programming languages [Java, Python, React,  Node JS, PostgressQL.
  • Hands on experience with Database QL, Working in AWS Full Stack [Mongo DB, Kinesis]
  • Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive to achieve personal goals
  • Ability to work in a team where you manage your own time and priorities
  • Motivated by a fast paced environment where you will have to constantly adapt - no two days are the same!
  • You’re a true team player who knows that we all have to sometimes roll up our sleeves
