This is not an IT role, but an analyst role. This role does not make reports but analyze how reports are useful to the business and follow through. This is a person who has created dashboards, not uses them. You would deliver analytics that make an impact on the business. You would be a mentor to a team of junior data analysts.

Expert proficiency with Excel, familiarity with SQL and Tableau, and /or other database management tools.

Company is introducing a new analytics function within the company and is looking for an experienced analyst to play a lead role in the communication, mentoring, discovery and buildout of this new capability. The analytics department will be primarily responsible for action driven analysis that drive company profits through product innovation, cost/revenue drivers and business process improvement using a data driven approach.

Key Responsibilities By now you are probably asking..." what is the day to day like"? How much do you love a whiteboard? First and foremost, you will gain a deep understanding of the business and how we achieve profitability. With this knowledge you will begin to ask questions, use critical thought an theorize the potential in which the company can increase profitability. Then prove out those theories using empirical data to deliver a story for the business to take action. Let's not forget that you will be mentoring and shaping the analytics department to deliver next level analytics to the organization (Did we mention the whiteboard sessions?)

Required Skills & Experience • Proven track record of innovating complex analysis that resulted in action taken by the company to increase profits. • Able to take routine data and find key areas of opportunity, then narrate the findings to all levels of the organization. • Must have knowledge and experience with analyzing business information, scope definition, requirements gathering, data analysis and be able to identify opportunities for reporting improvement. • Collaborate with operational/IT business leads to recognize and help adopt best practices in data analysis. • Mentor and teach best practices in data analysis and visualizations to analysts with less experience. • 5-7 years in an analytics environment with a progressive career path. •

Bachelors or Masters degree related to technology/mathematics or computer science is preferred
