System Administrator (Windows Servers)

Job Description

The System Administrator provides Mid-level Windows Server and platforms administration.  This primarily includes support of Hyper-V, Firewall, Active Directory, Exchange 2016, Office 365, SCCM as well as other Microsoft based technologies. This role is also responsible for supporting our system hardware and redundancy between multiple data centers. This position will provide direct contact with external clients to assist in troubleshooting and maintaining data transmissions between our systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for escalated application issues, managing domain controllers, firewalls, file servers, anti-virus servers, Windows group policy settings, phone systems, architecting Windows Active Directory etc.
• Develop and maintain all Windows Systems.
• Work closely with the IT team and be proactive in identifying Windows Systems improvements for current or future projects.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
• Defines systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
• Defines technical standards and functionality tests. May develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.
• Follows operating procedures and utilizes established support tools for analysis and reporting requirements.

Skills / Requirements

• 3+ Years Hyper-V experience.
• 3+ Years Windows Server environment experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 2008-2016 Server, including backup and recovery procedures
• Strong knowledge of all windows networking components, including but not limited to: DHCP/DNS/WINS, and MS Active Directory, group policy and script management
• 3+ Years Exchange administration, including High Availability and Disaster Recovery
• General Knowledge of a Ticket System and Reporting.
• Working knowledge of SQL Databases and ability to write queries as required is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of multiple network protocols and their inter-relationships
• Experience with IP Phone Systems is a plus
• Must be available for an in-person interview. Fluent English, both written and verbal, is required.
