Salary up to $140k plus 10% bonus and benefits

Job Description


The Senior Product Manager is responsible for clearly defining and communicating the "why", "what" and "when" of the product that the engineering team will build (within the context of the overall product strategy) to assist in achieving total product success as measured by revenue growth, market position, and profitability. This means the senior product manager will be responsible for setting a product vision, strategy and roadmap; clearly articulating the business value to the executive management team so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release; owning the strategy behind the product and its roadmap; and working with engineering to build what matters. Success in the position will be determined by the individual's ability to intimately understand the product's environment, articulate objectives that lead to success across all company routes to market, and to achieve the product awareness and market share objectives in the targeted market segments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may require managing functional activities and tasks through subordinates. Activities managed tend to have common purposes and coordination with others external to the group.


Functional policies and goals and/or general direction apply due to nature and significant size. This position is permitted wide discretion provided that actions are consistent with operating policies and applicable functional precedents. However, actions which affect other operating areas or functions normally require approval before implementation.


Machine Control, Positioning Technologies and Telematics experience a plus

Experience with Pragmatic Marketing and the development of Technology Solutions is an asset.

Excellent management skills with the ability to effectively direct the company’s product

Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, organizational and project management skills

Ability to influence people and execute programs across a matrixed organization structure

Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure, motivate individuals, lead projects with a high degree of attention to detail and to understand the overall corporate objectives are essential

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the Technology Industry in Product Management

BS in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience required

MBA a strong plus

Although the position is in a more broadly defined environment with clearly defined policies, objectives, principles and practices, solutions should generally be found within the body of the know-how or based on experience within an area of learned things.
