Job Description

Xapien is solving tough challenges in innovative ways. Testing success is one of the toughest challenges of all, and we’re looking for a bright and energetic developer to tackle it.

You will build high-value automated tests to turbo-charge the development of the Xapien system whilst improving the quality of the system and guiding new improvements to reliability and scaling. You will work closely with other engineers to understand the Xapien system, allowing you to build the most effective tests.

You will also build innovative and intelligent tools that help accelerate and improve the work of our manual testers. You will work closely with them to spot the best opportunities.

    Qualifications

    Applicants must have:

    • High quality Python writing skills, especially writing tests in Python.  We expect a couple of years of Python development as this will be the key language
    • Strong conceptual and abstract reasoning
    • A user-focussed approach to development
    • Good teamworking and communication skills
    • An approach to testing that is grounded in strong principles, but is also pragmatic and flexible
    • HTTP & API experience
    • Self-organisation skills

    We are also looking for skills in:

    • Automated web testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
    • Manual testing
    • Testing complex systems, especially ML
    • Experience with API & integration tests
    • C#
    • AWS
    • Integrating automated tests with CI/CD

    Salary Range

    • Base salary between £35,000 and £45,000
