Job Description

Act as the contact point for electronics subjects the full product lifecycle including product design, failure root cause analysis, electronic selection & qualification, production transfer support, engineering data management and documentation review. 

> KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead various electronics subjects – product testing, failure analysis, engineering improvements, quality and reliability matters. 
  • Develop test plan & procedures, conduct hand-on tests on SWPS products, circuits and components. 
  • Collect test data, generate test report and maintain good documentation. 
  • Design test systems with software and hardware to achieve test automation. 
  • Create electronics selection and qualification guidelines, standardize testing methods and test plates. 
  • Conduct FMEA to identify critical and high-risk electronic design, perform evaluation test and risk mitigation. 
  • Conduct root cause analysis, identify failure mechanism, derive countermeasures. 
  • Review products compliance to regulatory standards – energy efficiency, noises, safety, and material compliance. 
  • Classify, characterize and manage electronic materials with data integrity and accuracy. 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to sustain product lifecycle. 

Qualifications

  • Degree or above in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalents. 
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, sustaining, manufacturing, or testing on electronic products, especially power electronics.  
  • Fundamental knowledge of switch mode power supply – topology, characterization, testing, simulation, safety and regulations. 
  • Able to interpret schematics and circuits, understand component functions and analyze their electrical stresses. 
  • Experienced in qualifying, troubleshooting electronic components and systems with fundamental understanding of common processes and methods in electronics design and manufacturing field.  
  • Hand-on skills in environmental testing and test automation, lab equipment and instruments. 
  • Good knowledge of electronic components – structure and packaging, practical limits & constraints. 
  • Good knowledge of electronics marketplace – suppliers and distribution channels. 
  • Conversant at EDA tools with Altium highly desirable.  
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 - Office tools, Teams, SharePoint.  
  • Good technical writing capability and communication skills. 
  • Result-driven, detail-oriented and passionate for continuous improvements.
