Job Description
As a Tower Suites Lobby Bar - Bus/Runner you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the delivery of Forbes-style luxury service by consistently demonstrating graciousness, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for the guest experience.
- Assisting Servers and Bartenders throughout service by carrying trays and transporting food, beverages, serviceware, and other necessary items safely, accurately, and according to established outlet procedures.
- Anticipating guest and team needs by observing verbal and nonverbal cues, monitoring the progression of service, and providing or coordinating appropriate assistance before a request becomes necessary.
- Assisting with food and beverage delivery as directed.
- Providing assigned water, coffee, tea, nonalcoholic beverage, or other service support in a polished and organized manner, following the established sequence, presentation, and timing standards of the outlet.
- Keeping bus stations, credenzas, service areas, and support spaces clean, sanitized, organized, appropriately stocked, and prepared for anticipated business levels.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of tables, chairs, banquettes, surrounding floor areas, service stations, and other assigned guest-facing or support areas.
- Following all applicable health-code, sanitation, food-safety, safe-handling, workplace-safety, and company standards.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1year of previous experience in a full-service restaurant, lounge, bar, or comparable guest-facing food and beverage environment.
- Previous experience in an upscale, luxury, fine-dining, high-volume, or Forbes-rated hospitality environment is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to communicate clearly, fluently, and professionally in English in order to understand instructions, relay guest information, coordinate service, and support safe operations.
- Proficiency in an additional language is considered a plus.
- Strong service orientation with the ability to recognize guest cues, anticipate needs, and provide warm, thoughtful assistance while respecting the scope of the Bus/Runner role.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including the physical activities associated with standing, walking, carrying trays, clearing tables, resetting service areas, and transporting service items, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance in accordance with company uniform and grooming standards, with reasonable accommodation as required by applicable law.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.
