Job Description

The Salon Receptionist is responsible for creating an exceptional first and last impression for every guest visiting the Salon at Wynn Las Vegas. This position serves as the primary point of contact for salon guests and is responsible for scheduling appointments, coordinating guest arrivals, processing transactions, and delivering personalized service consistent with Wynn Resorts and Forbes Five-Star standards.

The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills, strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and a passion for providing luxury hospitality experiences.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver Forbes Five-Star guest service standards in all interactions with guests and employees.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally while creating a welcoming and luxurious salon experience.
  • Accurately schedule, modify, and confirm salon appointments via telephone, email, and in-person requests.
  • Manage daily appointment reservations using department-approved systems and software.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Process payments, room charges, gratuities, gift certificates, packages, and retail purchases accurately.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all salon services, treatments, products, promotions, and amenities.
  • Recommend and promote salon services and retail products that align with guest preferences and needs.
  • Coordinate communication between guests, salon service providers, leadership, and other resort departments.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and service recovery opportunities promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and reservation details while protecting guest privacy.
  • Ensure the reception area remains organized, clean, and presentation-ready at all times.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, retail merchandising, and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Remain knowledgeable regarding Wynn Las Vegas amenities, outlets, events, and resort offerings.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and ongoing luxury service development programs.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, grooming standards, and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of receptionist, concierge, luxury hospitality, spa, salon, or guest service experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a luxury resort, spa, salon, or Forbes-rated environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with reservation, scheduling, and point-of-sale systems preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and guest recovery skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to use computers, telephones, and office equipment continuously during the workday.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment and point-of-sale systems.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in a professional luxury hospitality environment.
