Job Description
As a Lead Kitchen worker you will be responsible for:
- The Lead Kitchen Worker is responsible for communicating with management.
- Leads the Kitchen worker staff.
- Responsible for washing, cleaning, and polishing equipment to ensure it is ready for use; sorting and cleaning dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils and ashtrays.
- The lead is responsible for cleaning all cooking devices such as stoves, grills, ovens, broilers, burner tops, steamer ovens, kettle-braisers, hood panels, deep fryers, dishwasher machines, stainless counters, drains, ect.
- Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Responsible for bio-hazard cleanup.
- Will be responsible for completing any other duties assigned by the Department Management.
- Employees are expected to be prompt, present and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
- Must adhere to the Wynn Las Vegas Stewarding Department standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- The ability to speak a second language is considered a plus.
- Previous experience in kitchen stewarding or in another physically demanding profession is preferred but not required.
- Candidates must exhibit leadership skills and ability to guide employees.
- Requires the ability to work with industrial strength chemicals and within a team environment.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time, push/pull up to 400 lbs. at a time; and handle heave machinery such us pallet jacks ,tuggers, forklifts, ect.
- Requires a valid Clark County Health card.
- Requires an age of 18 years or older.
