Job Description
The Fine Dining Bus Person is responsible for supporting elevated front-of-house service by maintaining exceptional cleanliness, precision, and organization within Wynn Las Vegas. This role plays a critical part in delivering a seamless, refined guest experience by ensuring tables are meticulously maintained, service stations are fully prepared, and the service team is supported in real time.
The Bus Person must operate with attention to detail, urgency, and professionalism, contributing to a polished dining environment consistent with Wynn’s luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities
Dining Room Excellence
- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure table settings meet exact fine dining standards, including proper placement of glassware, china, and silverware
- Maintain constant awareness of table readiness to support seamless guest seating and service flow
- Assist servers in maintaining a clean and polished dining environment throughout service
Guest Experience Support
- Interact with guests in a polite, professional manner, demonstrating awareness and discretion
- Anticipate guest needs by monitoring the dining room and assisting when appropriate
- Support the service team in delivering a refined, uninterrupted dining experience
- Maintain a calm, attentive presence in a high-expectation luxury environment
Service Support & Coordination
- Assist servers with table maintenance, water service support, and bread or service coordination as directed
- Communicate closely with servers, runners, and management to ensure service timing and table readiness
- Respond quickly to requests from service staff to maintain high service standards
Polish, Presentation & Detail
- Polish and maintain glassware, silverware, and china to impeccable standards
- Ensure all dining room surfaces (tables, chairs, floors, service stations) meet Wynn cleanliness and presentation expectations
- Perform continuous quality checks to ensure all guest-facing areas are flawless
- Assist in maintaining aesthetic consistency across the dining room
Operational Readiness
- Stock and replenish service stations with necessary supplies (linen, glassware, utensils, etc.)
- Complete all opening, running side work, and closing duties with precision
- Maintain organization of service areas to support efficient operations
- Attend pre-shift briefings to stay informed of VIP guests, service notes, and daily priorities
Compliance & Brand Standards
- Adhere to all Wynn grooming, uniform, and appearance standards
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Execute duties in strict accordance with department procedures and fine dining service standards
- Act as an ambassador of Wynn’s commitment to excellence and service
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1–2+ years of experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality preferred
- Prior experience in a high-volume, luxury restaurant environment strongly preferred
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Ability to anticipate needs and maintain awareness of dining room flow
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
Licenses & Certifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards and licenses
Work Environment
- Fine dining restaurant within a luxury resort setting
- High-touch, detail-driven environment requiring constant movement and awareness
- Requires ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout shift
- Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
