Job Description
The Junior Engineer is responsible for satisfactory completion of the Junior Engineer program. The program includes on-the-job training in a full-time maintenance position and requires additional after-hours attendance of instructional courses through CSN and other trade specific educational organizations. The program lasts four years, followed by a two-year employment commitment.
Qualifications
- Candidates must exhibit a basic understanding of one or more of the following areas: electrical, HVACR, carpentry, painting, plumbing, upholstery, or tile setting.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Candidates must be fluent in English.
- An ideal candidate will have successfully completed a vocation, technical, or trade related program.
- This position requires a valid Nevada driver’s license.
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position.
- Must maintain program-mandated GPA and attendance standards of college & trade specific courses.
- Must have eligibility and availability to attend classes through CSN.
