Job Description
The Zero Bond Bar Apprentice is responsible for supporting the bartending team in delivering seamless, high-quality service to all Zero Bond members. This role ensures that the bar is fully stocked, clean, and operational throughout service, while responding to team needs with urgency and professionalism. The bar apprentices are expected to take direction from bartenders and management, maintain a polished appearance, and contribute to the overall success of the beverage program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner, using eye contact and intention.
- Communicates the needs of guests to co-workers, kitchen, and management.
- Execute water service and serve non-alcoholic drinks as necessary.
- Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by Zero Bond management.
- Cleanliness and organization of liquor and beer storage areas.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available.
- Responsible for performing bar maintenance by checking on the members throughout service.
- Bid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known.
- Maintaining health code standards.
- Execute full opening side-work, ensuring all tools and equipment are in place and service ready.
- Conduct detailed handover with the opening bartender, reviewing stock levels and service needs.
- Replenish paper goods, garnishes, mixers, and other bar supplies throughout service to maintain speed of operations.
- Maintain glassware inventory during service by restocking clean glasses and removing used items promptly.
- Assists with moving chairs and tables as needed based on the floor plan.
- Support bartenders by replenishing ice, preparing bar stations, and assisting with cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
- Ensure all bar areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate supply needs, restock requests, or guest-specific accommodations to bartenders and management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support bar operations.
- Attend all required training sessions and pre-shift briefings to stay informed of daily priorities, new offerings, and member notes.
- Be familiar with all Hotel services/ features and local attractions/ activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a fine dining restaurant, lounge, or similar hospitality environment.
- Fluent in English with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and guests.
- Experience in bottle service preferred but not required.
- The ability to speak a second language is a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to efficiently set, clear, and reset while minimizing breakage.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced service environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required work cards or licenses as mandated by Clark County or the State of Nevada.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Candidates must exhibit alcoholic beverage, basic food and advanced bar counter service knowledge.
- Ability to work in a smoke environment.

- Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift of up to 50 pounds on occasion and 35 pounds regularly
