Job Description
The Wynn Las Vegas Sound & Video Department oversees the in-house audio video systems associated with Villa guest rooms, food & beverage venues, casinos, and all other public spaces, as well as back of house service areas. Design, engineering, installation, programming and maintenance of these systems is a critical element for our department and overall guest experience.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director / Manager of Sound and Video (S&V) the Technical Supervisor will be required to:
- Installation and configuration of projects done “in-house” per design requirements. Installation work will be of the highest standards, with all wiring inside and outside of an equipment rack to be well throughout, very clean, immaculate, and serviceable.
- Oversee “outside projects” from Wynn Design and Development (WDD) coordinate integration with existing systems and infrastructure, ensure all work is done to “Wynn Standards,” and each systems functions as initially designed.
- Communicate effectively and work with a high degree of creativity and personal responsibility.
- Supervise multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations.
- Ensure the department delivers a maximum level of customer service, guest experience, and production value.
- Work with safety as a priority and follow department and company safety standards.
- Ensure all Wynn Las Vegas core values, property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain the S&V workspace, tool carts and documentation.
Qualifications
Job Experience / Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six plus (6+) years’ experience in a commercial and hospitality environment as Networking system engineer and desktop support
- Complete understanding of network planning, network architecture design /engineering, and Extreme Networks XOS (EXOS) network switch engine operating system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Provides immediate response and/or investigation of system alerts as a senior level troubleshooter in a complex network environment, perform network problem resolution in the quickest manner possible for the shortest amount of downtime, also able to direct and train others in responding to system alerts and outages.
- Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems (including wireless) to meet the functional objectives of the business.
- Performs system tuning, capacity, and resource planning, assessing network risks, contingency planning, optimizes network traffic routes and controls, establishment of data file backups, and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Ensures switches, routers, access points (AP), wireless controllers, PCs, and other applicable devices and applications are property configured, utilized, and maintained.
- Development of enterprise security infrastructure including physical, operating system, and application-level security domains. Experience troubleshooting applications traversing firewalls.
- Maintaining PC’s including software, network systems, firewalls, virtual private networks (VPNs), wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), virtual local area networks (VLANs), routers, domain controller (DC), network-attached storage (NAS), dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) scopes, mobile device manager (MDM), Apple Business Manager (ABM), certificates, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) and other non-traditional network devices at main and remote location.
- Prepares and maintains documentation for network hardware and cabling, backups, disaster methodologies and procedures, and connectivity infrastructure. Ensures that documentation is available and up to date for the team.
- Knowledge of networked video and audio transmission standards; HDBT, streaming JPG and MWC Codecs, H.264, SVSI, Dante, AVB, Blu-Link, Audio Architect, and Q-SYS.
- Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber distribution and installation
- Stardraw or CAD experience a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure as well as supervise and lead technicians, external departments, and outside vendors.
- Must be confident in your abilities, self-motivated, learn quickly; initiation and drive to expand your knowledge base.

- Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality / entertainment industry, team members must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, long hours, and able to respond to emergencies after hours.

- Must be able to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
- Must maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
- Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking.
- The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
