    Job Description

    The Encore Boston Harbor Security Control Center (SCC) Dispatcher will be responsible for protecting Company assets and performing surveillance duties to monitor the safety and compliance of all Encore employees and guests with the property’s Business Processes in a 24/7 operations center. This includes but is not limited to, monitoring of all non-gaming cameras and alarms, as well managing all emergency and non-emergency requests and dispatches, as appropriate. Acts as a clearinghouse for all non-gaming security issues.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
    • Observe and report all security violations and/or thefts of property and ensure these are documented.
    • Monitor numerous cameras on multiple camera systems across EBH and offsite warehouse.
    • Responsible for saving all pertinent incident-related camera footage and other internal camera footage requests, as necessary.
    • Monitor all emergency and exterior door alarms through Synectics camera system.
    • Responsible for dispatching Security and the Gaming Enforcement Unit “GEU” throughout the property, as needed.
    • Communicate with Security personnel and other departments and agencies via multiple radio consoles and channels.
    • Responsible for coordinating Emergency Services calls for all emergency incidents that occur on property.
    • Handle emergency and non-emergency telephone calls from Guests and employees.
    • Effectively log all radio and telephone calls that come into the SCC in the required format or system.
    • Responsible for monitoring all panic alarm activations and safety button alarm activations on property.
    • Effectively monitor multiple Security-related applications simultaneously.
    • Respond to requests of all other departments, when necessary.
    • Analyze situations promptly and accurately; coordinate effective responses based on available resources and in compliance with all company and department policies.
    • Conduct daily inspections of all non-gaming cameras throughout the property to ensure proper functionality and provide follow-up for any non-gaming camera issues.
    • Must be able to effectively maintain a direct line of communication with members of the shift and department management.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all property-related issues.
    • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, often in stressful and high- pressure situations.
    • Must pass all tests and assessments.
    • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Age, Gaming and Certifications:

    21 years of age or above.

    Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission

    Must be able to acquire and maintain any licensing or active work cards required for this position.

    CPR/AED/First Aid certification

    Education and/or Experience:

    High school or equivalent degree required.

    Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.

    Must be able to effectively operate a computer, CCTV and radio equipment.

     

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one- on-one and group situations. Must have the ability to describe the nature and location of events.
