As a machine learning engineer at Worthix, you will work with a small team to develop and deploy state of the art models for text data analysis in order to provide insights on challenging survey data. These models will integrate into an existing API and be used to analyze hundreds of thousands of text instances. You will help to develop internal tools to improve the analysis of machine learning models to better understand and improve their performance on testing data.  

Preferred Skills:

Experience with data visualization libraries [Matplotlib, D3.js, etc.]    

Experience with NLP and familiarity with NLP libraries [spaCy, NLTK, CoreNLP, etc.]    

Background in fundamental and applied probability and statistics     

Background in linear algebra, calculus, and combinatorics    

Experience with deploying applications in a production environment    

Experience with deployment tools [NGINX, uWSGI, Docker, etc.]    

Basic skills with HTML and Javascript (for developing internal tools)    

Experience with API development  

Programming Requirements:

·        5+ years of programming experience    

·        Experience with algorithm analysis, design, and implementation    

·        Proficiency with scripting languages [Python or Lua]    

·        Proficiency with at least one systems programming language [C, Rust, Go, etc.]     

Machine Learning Requirements:    

·        Familiarity with a variety of modern supervised ML models [LSTMs, CNNs, SVMs, Bayesian methods, etc.]    

·        Familiarity with unsupervised ML models [k-means, EM, LDA, PCA, etc.]    

·        Ability to read modern ML papers and apply or implement their results     

·        Experience with at least one deep learning framework [Tensorflow, Torch, DL4J, etc.]    

·        Experience with high level ML libraries [Keras, Scikit, Weka, etc.]    

·        Understanding of hypothesis testing and validation
