We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team at ProGlove, a leading provider of wearable technology solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of products from ideation to mass production.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will closely work with the Hardware Engineering Team in Munich and Belgrade and you will report directly to your Mechanical Engineering Team Lead. We’re dedicated to find someone who is enthusiastic about joining a fast-growing environment and interested in creating the next generation of ProGlove devices.

Your day-to-day will also consist of mainly these topics: 

• Take full mechanical ownership for the development of new products from ideation to mass production
• Troubleshoot designs by running root cause analysis
• Translate product concepts into mechanical specifications, create BOMs, and estimate costs
• Work closely with our design and production departments and drive the mechanical design to ensure manufacturable products, including the design of assembly rigs
• Create test plans and define acceptance criteria. Perform component and product-level durability, quality, and manufacturability testing.

As our ideal candidate for this role, you come with the following skills and competencies: 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• 3+ years experience in Mechanical product design, for example in mobile electronics, wearables or smart appliances.
• Strong skills with CAD packages and experience in rapid iteration and prototyping with hands-on workshop experience; Solidworks expertise is a plus.
• Expertise in Statistical Tolerance Analysis, DFMEA, DFMA, and Injection Molding, 2K Injection molding experience is a plus.
• Experience in Machinery design. For example: Test stands, assembly and production jigs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and engaging work environment.
• Fluency in English. German is a plus.
