We are looking for a Customs and Compliance Manager (m/f/d) to join our Finance department.

In this role, you will oversee all our customs and compliance related activities. In this role you will work closely with our Purchasing and Logistics Teams and report directly to our Procurement Team Lead

Job Description

Your mission...
A day in the life of a Customs and Compliance Manager (m/f/d) at ProGlove will be mostly about making sure, we as a company in general, and all our entities specifically, comply with all applicable laws, regulations and policies regarding international import and export. 

Your day-to-day will also consist of mainly these topics 

  • Develop, implement and manage global customs and compliance policies and procedures including the implementation of an Internal Compliance Program (ICP)
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable trade agreements, including Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)
  • Manage and maintain all necessary permits and licenses required for import/export activities and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely customs clearance and accurate documentation
  • Provide training to employees on customs and compliance policies and procedures and organize internal audits in order to ensure compliance with customs regulations and policies 
  • Ensure that all required customs duties, taxes, and fees are checked and paid accurately on time

  • Bachelor's degree in international trade, logistics, or related field or an equivalent education 
  • At least 5 years of experience in customs and compliance management 
  • Deep knowledge of import/export regulations and tariff codes classification as well as working knowledge of ATLAS
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams in different locations 
  • Business Fluency in German and English 
  • Salary Range 60k - 70k
