Unternehmensbeschreibung

Wolt is a technology company that makes it incredibly easy to discover and get the best restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to home or to the office. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. DoorDash operates in 27 countries today, 23 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.

Role background

We launched our service in Germany in August 2020 and have, for the past year, seen rapid development in the market. We are now working with several thousand restaurant partners across Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg & others and expanding further into new cities, regions, and business verticals.

To support our hyper-growth and strengthen our central team, we seek a driven and experienced Operations Analyst - Compensation & performance to help our Performance Team continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our delivery operations by working on courier compensation and the delivery setup.

The Operations Analyst - Compensation & Performance role is a full-time position. You will report directly to Senior Operations Analyst - Compensation & Performance and work on building and continuously improving our courier compensation model and delivery set-up.

Your responsibilities will include analysis of couriers' performance & couriers' experience, the development of compensation models tailored to cities and groups of couriers (e.g., couriers delivering with different vehicles, couriers with part-time vs. full-time contracts), and the identification of behavioral, product, and operational issues limiting the efficiency of our couriers.

Once the key areas that require action are identified, you will also be responsible for planning and executing critical projects to address issues and opportunities.

In this job, you will not be alone: you will have to coordinate and collaborate across the Wolt operations team (courier onboarding, courier HR & payroll, city configuration, Supply Planning) and non-Ops team (Legal, PR, Product Team).

You will be at the center of Wolt delivery operations. Your work will substantially impact Wolt's growth and profitability, and you have multiple opportunities to work directly with the GM and Head of Ops in Germany.

What you'll be doing

  • In a nutshell, solving problems and seizing growth opportunities in compensation and delivery performance
  • Taking a pivotal role in developing the Wolt compensation model for couriers, including analyzing base compensation, performance bonus, and taxation - and optimizing the model according to the different typologies of couriers in our fleets
  • Constantly pushing to improve our logistic & product configuration: you will work with the city management teams and give them essential inputs on how to tweak cities to drive performance, and you will work closely with the product team to suggest features that can help our couriers.
  • Owning and leading high-stakes projects, such as testing new compensation and benefits models (designing and running small and large-scale compensation pilots, squeezing deep insights from the resulting data, and driving growth-seeking decisions for business impact)
  • Collaborating with our product teams to envision and build the future of the Wolt courier app
  • Keeping a close eye on how competitors are behaving
  • Going deep into numbers and making data-driven decisions. We have reliable data on everything, the key is to have a nose for value and understand what matters.
  • Work across teams: your compensation will impact how we communicate, pay, engage with, and recruit couriers. You will work across multiple teams to deliver a cohesive experience to couriers, driving performance and satisfaction.

Qualifikationen

  • 1-2+ years of consulting experience or experience in operations in fast-growth companies
  • Excellent people skills. To make any impact, you must inspire and convince people from various backgrounds, from developers to senior management.
  • Stellar capabilities in strategic thinking, analytical execution, and financial modeling. Excel is a must. Candidates with solid SQL skills and/or Python/R will be preferred.
  • Drive, ownership, and independence. Comfortable working independently and managing a group of stakeholders, often in parallel across multiple topics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German is a plus.
