Job Description

Role Background

So… we have built this rocketship. We call it Wolt. And we’re on a mission to make cities a better place to live with the help of technology. We started in 2014 in Finland, and with a customer-obsessed mindset, we have now reached 23 countries. We are best known for our food delivery platform, yet we are on a journey to become an ‘’everything’’ app so you can get almost anything in your city delivered to your doorstep in less than an hour. We’ve grown significantly in the last few years, and we’re just getting started. 

We launched in Norway in 2018 and have since grown our national coverage in more than 14 cities in Norway, including Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand and Tromsø to mention a few - with more more cities to come.

Last year we started running our very own chain of innovative grocery stores, Wolt Market. With Wolt Market, our focus is to shape the future of the grocery shopping of tomorrow by optimizing the product offering and being customer-oriented, offering the fastest deliveries on the markets, and having industry-leading campaigns. As we keep expanding this new vertical we’re looking for a dedicated Marketing Manager. This role plays a key part in our growth in Norway and Sweden and will work closely with the Wolt Market team as well as the marketing teams in both countries.

As the Marketing Manager of Wolt Market, you will be responsible for the marketing budget and investments, strategy, and campaigns of Wolt Market in Norway and Sweden. You’ll be expected to spearhead the continued growth as well as reshaping the mindset of consumers to ensure the success of our business in both countries. To accomplish this you’ll need to work both strategically as well as operationally and be a data-driven doer who’s not afraid of getting your hands dirty. You’ll work closely with the Wolt Market team and the local marketing teams of Sweden and Norway. This position can be based in Oslo and you will spend time traveling on a weekly basis. You’ll report directly to the Head of Marketing in the country of your location.
 

What you'll be doing

  • Being responsible for the Wolt Market marketing: strategy & budget, planning, customer incentive schemes, communications, channel management, and evaluation & analysis

  • Developing long-term strategies that establishes Wolt Market as the country-wide go-to choice for instant grocery delivery and weekly shopping.

  • Forecasting the impact of marketing strategies on the P&L and assessing their ROIs.

  • Defining KPIs that aim to maximize the efficiency of the marketing spend and analyzing the performance of campaigns.

  • Sparring and working with the Wolt Market team to ensure successful partnerships with brand owners.

  • Sparring, coaching and working together with the local marketing teams to ensure successful campaigns.

  • Developing, iterating and driving the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels in order to drive Wolt Market sales and meet the targets.

  • Bringing the strategy to life yourself, including hands-on creation of content and assets needed for the marketing campaigns and various marketing activities together with the wider team.

Qualifications

  • Fully fluent in Norwegian or Swedish & English.

  • You have a proven track record as a marketing or campaign manager with a wide toolbox within marketing. Good commercial understanding of the grocery and/or FMCG industry is a big advantage.

  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to both strategies around the retail category, grocery segment and marketing efforts, but also execute and make campaigns come to life. 

  • Proven analytical approach when using data to design, develop and execute campaigns and strategies.

  • You’re used to working across multiple stakeholders, from planning campaigns with partners to internal stakeholders, to agencies and have the communication- and project management skills for effective stakeholder management.

  • You are a self-starter, reliable team player with the ability to deliver results on time and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are great at influencing stakeholders to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships.

  • You are structured, detailed, and service-oriented.

  • You have strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action and impact. 

  • You have a proactive mentality - an independent thinker who can work with limited guidance but can deliver a successful outcome through grit and determination

  • Prior experience in a fast-moving environment with a strong focus on achieving targets and getting things done.

  • Good knowledge in B2C marketing, performance marketing, eCommerce, and branding is an advantage.
