Job Description

Role background

So… We’ve built this rocketship. We call it Wolt. And we’re on a mission to make cities a better place to live with the help of technology. We started in 2014 in Finland, with the customer-obsessed mindset we have now reached 23 countries with over 12M users. We are best known for our food delivery platform but are now on a journey to become an ‘’everything’’ app so you can get almost anything in your city delivered to your doorstep in less than an hour.

We launched in Norway in 2017 and are already operating in Oslo, Trondheim, Tromsø, Stavanger, Bergen, Sandnes, Sandvika, Lillestrøm, Kristiansand and Tønsberg with more cities soon to come.

Our growth has been achieved due to the passion of our amazing team - we're motivated to grow even more and as such, we’re looking for a like minded Head of Marketing to take us to the next level in our growth journey.

As our Head of Marketing, you'll be responsible for leading the local marketing team that is currently responsible for all marketing activities for the Wolt brand in Norway. It involves growing our different businesses; Restaurants, Retail, Wolt Market & Wolt Drive, through strategic and data driven marketing initiatives. You succeed by engaging and retaining the current user base and attracting new users to our platform.

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that we optimize our marketing budget and get the most ‘bang for our buck’. It involves creating campaigns that span multiple channels and boosts both Wolt’s profile and market share in Norway with heavy emphasis on digital channels. You’ll be expected to build strong relationships with partner brands and influencers, and create impactful messages through effective resource use.


What you’ll be doing

Grow our company further through:

  • Creation and implementation of the local marketing strategy.
  • Lead and develop the local marketing team to bring the strategy to life.
  • Defining marketing targets, forecasting, brand strategy and long-term planning.
  • Defining performance KPIs that aim to maximize efficiency of marketing spend.
  • Planning of campaigns and activities, timelines, channel allocation and execution to acquire, engage and retain our user base.
  • Analyzing the performance of all channels and campaigns.
  • Managing Partnership deals with other brands including sponsorships and events.
  • Developing tactics and playbooks across different channels such as CRM, partnership, social & influencer marketing.
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in managing a high-performing and efficiency-driven marketing team, as well as external partners. 
  • Experience of owning marketing P&L, forecasting, financial planning and budget allocation.
  • Background of e-commerce, digital marketing, apps or hospitality online consumer products or services is preferred.
  • Proven analytical approach when using data to design, develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Prior experience in growth hacking and/or fast-moving environment with a strong focus on achieving targets and getting things done.
  • Ability to really own a project, work independently and ask for guidance when needed.
  • Solid understanding of social media channels.
  • Native level in Norwegian and fluent in English.
