Job Description

Are you an experienced SEO marketer with strong analytical skills? Do you have a passion for being one of the first people to build and scale our SEO activities for both mobile and web within the fastest-growing food delivery service in the world? If this sounds like you, we'd love to chat!

Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. We’ve grown significantly in the last three years, expanding our operations from just four countries across the Nordics, to 23 countries across Europe and Asia today. And we’re just getting started. 

Regardless of how fast we are growing, we strive for the best-in-the-world in everything we do. That’s everything from product development to local country operations to developing engaging marketing campaigns for each of our 20+ markets. And now we are searching for our first SEO Manager to take our SEO strategies to a whole new level.

As this is a brand new role for us, you'll be responsible for driving the overall effectiveness of the SEO activities, the efficiency and meeting business targets for growing the overall revenue contribution to Wolt through technical, Onpage & Offpage SEO. You’ll work closely with multiple product teams, paid marketing teams, local teams and our marketing tech team.

Since our SEO marketing team is newly set up, you will also have a great opportunity to add value by bringing new ideas and initiatives on how we tailor our ways of working for Wolt globally. 

What you'll be doing

  • Manage technical SEO across Wolt.com in 20+ countries to increase organic channel performance (in-page optimizations, keyword and keyword group management, cross-linking tactics, organic share of voice, page performance, regular site audits and error cleanup).

  • Manage and collaborate with different content agencies & freelancers to create strong SEO-focused contents for multiple languages across 20+ Wolt markets.

  • Prepare and analyse high-quality performance reports containing conversions, user behaviour, ranking development, and build a proper action plan based on it.

  • Develop an internal platform for monitoring keyword rankings, competitors and market trends and for tracking the impact of SEO activities to business goals.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years proven experience of successfully built and implemented SEO strategies within a high-growth tech marketing organization.

  • Technical literacy and good understanding of programming concepts that are relevant to SEO

  • Understanding how to optimize content for maximum SERP performance, including how to build rank from cross-linking, technical solutions etc.

  • Experience with Google Analytics & Search Console as well as widely-used technical SEO platforms (SEM Rush, Moz, BrightEdge, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Conductor, Searchmetrics).

  • You have outstanding reporting skills and can automate performance checks and effectively track progress and results.

  • You are a team player and like to work with different stakeholders from different Departments.

  • You already possess some knowledge of HTML, CSS.

  • A passionate and organized self-starter, who doesn’t accept the status quo, but always seeks to improve and automate workflows in order to increase performance. 

  • Experience with the tactical management of Paid channels (Google Ads, Facebook, etc.) is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - any other language is a plus.

  • Software development/programming is not required in this role, but programming skills are considered a plus.
