    Job Description

    Primary purpose of the function:  

    Lead the development and execution of global and local communication strategies to drive brand growth and product awareness. Manage and implement consistent and engaging external communications across websites, newsletters, media, PR, and social media. Oversee a communication team, ensuring alignment with strategic goals for impactful brand presence.

     

    Your responsibilities:

    Communication Strategy:

    • Develop and implement communication strategies for Wolf Oil Corporation, Wolf, and Champion brands at global and local levels.
    • Create communication frameworks, defining target audiences, channels, frequency, content, and processes.
    • Lead country-specific approaches to support Regional Marketing Managers.
    • Drive key message development and copywriting, ensuring brand consistency and commercial impact.
    • Collaborate with Internal Communication/HR team to involve internal stakeholders in external activities.
    • Translate customer insights and market trends into actionable communication activities.
    • Cascade content strategy to ITG Communication Strategy.

    Content Strategy & Production:

    • Lead the creation and execution of the global content plan, adapting it for local needs.
    • Streamline translations and ensure efficient implementation of local plans.
    • Plan and manage design, copywriting, and production of external communication assets.
    • Inspire and train the organization to increase communication efforts.

    Media & PR Plan:

    • Lead the development and execution of global and local PR plans in alignment with priorities.
    • Understand the global and local media landscape relevant to the sector.
    • Proactively develop and implement local media plans in collaboration with Regional Marketing Managers.
    • Act as the first point of contact for media and PR inquiries.
    • Train stakeholders to enhance communication and messaging skills.
    • Cultivate effective relationships with Regional Marketing for field execution of strategies.

    Product Communication:

    • Translate new product introductions into comprehensive launch communication plans.
    • Manage plan execution across all touchpoints.
    • Tailor global plans and communication materials for local key markets in collaboration with Regional Marketing Managers.

    Social Media:

    • Develop global social media strategy in alignment with Brand & Partnerships Manager.
    • Oversee execution of the strategy into bi-monthly content plans.
    • Manage localization of the strategy in collaboration with Regional Marketing teams.
    • Implement and publish all social media plans.

    Budget Management:

    • Efficiently manage budgets related to communication activities.

     

    Integral to this position is the oversight of a communication team. In addition to ensuring alignment with strategic goals for a powerful brand presence, you provide leadership and direction, managing the team to effectively contribute to our communication objectives.

    Qualifications

    • You have a higher degree in Marketing or Communications, or related field and relevant experience in developing and executing global communication strategies.
    • Fluent in English, Dutch and/or French. Knowledge of any other language is definitely an asset.
    • Proven ability to lead a communication team.
    • Skilled in crafting compelling narratives, key messages, and overseeing content production.
    • In-depth understanding of the global and local media landscape.
    • Efficient in managing budgets related to communication activities.
    • Able to cultivate effective relationships both with external partners and with internal stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to drive brand growth and product awareness through impactful communication.
