 Our Products

We produce lubricants for all sorts of applications, from passenger cars to bikes and even construction machines, at our HQ in Hemiksem, Belgium. We blend these products in bulk as well as for our own two brands, Wolf and Champion. Thanks to the high quality of our products, we managed to engage in premium partnerships like FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and FIA World Rallycross Championship (WRX).

Job Description

As Commercial Legal Counsel you support the further growth of our company by managing the legal and regulatory risks in the many countries where Wolf Oil Corporation NV is active and within the new emerging potential markets.

Responsibilities

  • Your key responsibilities include:
  • Providing functional support and advice to all the company’s business units with respect to any legal matter within an international business environment (contracts, business projects, investments, distribution, supply/procurement, transport and logistics, real estate, …) and relevant regulations.
  • Providing contract drafting and negotiation support in relation to mainly corporate, commercial and finance contracts
  • Providing general legal and strategic advice concerning various matters (such as insurance legislation, liability law..)
  • Manage important projects like the digitalization of contracts and contract management, creating legal playbooks & self-help templates for contracts.
  • Manage commercial litigation files.
  • Keeping up to date of relevant evolutions and developments and managing a network of local counsel in relation to all of the above.
  • Developing and maintaining strong business partner relationships with stakeholders in the different business units.

Qualifications

  • You have obtained a Master Degree in Law from a first rate Belgian or European University.
  • You have 2-5 years of experience professional experience in business law within a legal department of an international company or a law firm.
  • Your level of English is excellent and at least a very good level of French or Dutch.
  • You are fluent in writing contracts in an international context (distribution agreements, agency agreements, as well as confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, etc.).
  • You have experience with data protection laws and regulations or are willing to learn these.
  • You are capable of assessing business risks and you can suggest adequate measures or proposals to limit those potential legal risks.
  • You are familiar with, or have an interest in, corporate law, M&A and corporate governance.
  • You are business oriented with a problem solving / pragmatic approach
  • You work meticulous, have a hands-on mentality and your communication is both oral and written very strong.
  • You are a self-starter with team attitude
