We are looking for a Tech Lead for our Crawler/Big Data team. We want someone who is comfortable asking "why?". The ideal candidate is a divergent thinker who understands industry best practices, knows how to make and lead a team, has good knowledge of designing and creating systems to handle a large amount of data and obviously has experience with multiple coding languages. They should able to communicate the logic behind technical decisions to both tech and non-tech stakeholders and must be comfortable working in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building robust and scalable systems to crawl multiple websites continuously and handle the large set of structured and unstructured data.
• Working with business and product teams to give technical visibility of the projects.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Handling multiple deliverables.
• Hiring, managing, mentoring junior team members.
• Setting best practices and coding standards for the team.
• Continuously improving systems to make them more robust and efficient.
• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment, Data management skills

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience
• Good communication and collaboration skills, should able to  convey their thoughts to both tech and non-tech people
• Should have excellent knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals and Python
• Should have excellent problem-solving skills
• Should able to write clean, maintainable code and scripts
• Should have experience of working with data pipelines and handling large datasets
• Should have good knowledge of tools and libraries in this domain, specifically open source

Would be a plus:

• Experience in building crawlers
• Good knowledge of Elasticsearch
• Knowledge of AWS and DevOps
