As a Server engineer at Wix Restaurants, you'll work on a distributed product vertical that serves millions of users globally. You'll take ownership of challenging tasks, from architecture to operations, and contribute to scaling the system while integrating with 3rd-party systems and Wix services. In your day-to-day, you will 

• Work on a product in the Restaurants Online Orders, Menu, and Inventory Management areas 
• Work on a distributed product vertical built with TDD on Java and Scala 
• Take ownership of continuous delivery directly to millions of users all over the world 
• Cope with exciting challenges of scaling the system as well as integration with 3rd-party systems 
• Handle all aspects of software development: architecture, design, development, build, deployment, monitoring, and operations 

• 5+ years of experience in server development 
• Experience using Java server-side technologies 
• Interest in Scala or experience with it, as well as an in-depth understanding of OOP, SOLID, and functional programming principles 
• Passion for design, TDD methodology, microservices architecture, and the ability to take responsibility and work independently 
• Open-minded self-learner with a drive to stay updated with industry trends 
• Familiarity with AI development tools and a curiosity about AI technologies 
• Strong product mindset and ability to understand customer needs 
• Quick development velocity and ability to deliver high-quality code

Wix’s Server Engineering team where lead developers shape the architecture of our backend microservices. They set the tone and standard of our developer culture, fusing facets of engineering, product management, DevOps, analytics, and technical management. They’re also mentors, helping less-experienced engineers improve and hone their skills so that they are eventually capable of being tech leads themselves.
