Job Description

A Graduate Pre-Construction Manager will love the detail. With a sense of ownership from day
one, they will make sure that every development is set-up for success. A natural networker, the
Graduate Pre-Construction Manager will know that the best results come from working
collaboratively. Always thinking one step ahead, they will assist the Pre-Construction Manager
in preparation of land bids for site acquisitions. 

In a typical week, a Graduate Pre-Construction Manager might:

  • Assist with the collation and review of the necessary information, including relating to remediation, for the land that has been identified for housing development.
  • Assist the Pre-Construction Managers in land bidding and acquisition through collation of specialist consultant and contractor quotations and providing inputs to financial appraisals.
  • Review and comment on pre-construction information and assist in the commission of reports and investigations to ensure all the required information is in place.
  • Understand and ensure the duties of Principal Designer under CDM regulations are adhered to.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Pre-Construction Management Team, Strategic Land development teams, internal and external project team members and Homes staff across all disciplines.
  • Assist the Planning Managers to collate accurate information for planning submission packs to the required deadlines.
  • Promotes and lives the St. Modwen values.
  • Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations.
  • Develop and ensure safe working practices.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or similar level technical qualification e.g. Engineering, Building Surveying, Architecture
  • Sound technical skills allied to background education area
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good Planning, organising and prioritising skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Full UK driving license

 

 

Additional Information

  • A starting salary of £26,000 - £28,000
  • Up to 10% bonus per annum and company car benefit (or £370 per month car
  • allowance)
