Job Description
A Trainee Customer Service Technician enjoys variety in their work and always takes
customer relations in their stride. A go-getter who doesn’t sweat the small stuff, they oversee
the remedial work of our new homes, making sure that every customer receives ongoing
excellence from St. Modwen.
In a typical week, a Trainee Customer Service Technician might:
- Understand and assist the range of remedial work on new homes (which can include carpentry, decorating, plastering and general ad hoc maintenance duties as required by your line manager)
- Ensure that all homes are prepared so any repairs are completed on time and in one visit, to ensure that customers receive an excellent after-sales service level as they move in, and throughout the warranty period provided with every new home
- Assist the experienced Customer Service Technician whilst carrying out repair improvements to occupied properties, apply learnings to discuss with their line manager
- Pro-actively assist with the diagnoses and repairs faults as required
- Maintains clean working areas and question what does ‘good’ look like for our customers
- Carries out safe working practices to ensure individual well-being, as well as that of customers and colleagues
- Promote and lives the values of St. Modwen
- Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations
- Develop and ensure safe working practices
- Challenge and suggest new ways of working, bring your life skills to the role
Qualifications

- Full, valid driving licence
- Relevant CSCS card
- Strong attention to detail
- For safeguarding reasons, the company requires employees in this position to undergo a basic DBS check, which will show unspent convictions only. The results of the DBS check would be dealt with on a case-by-case basis

- A starting salary of £20,649.00 per annum (40 hours p/w)
