Wise Platform helps banks, software companies, and large enterprises leverage Wise's infrastructure to offer their customers world-class payment products through our API. We're a cross-functional team across sales, account management, product, engineering, compliance, analytics, and many other functions. We're based across the world - from New York to London, to Singapore, and beyond.

We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join our growing Cards API team in Singapore. 

The Cards API team works on offering banks and large enterprises cards and multi-currency account solutions.

Job Description

Salary: 9,000 - 10,850 monthly + RSU

As part of this role, you will

  • Interact with partners to understand the problems they are facing
  • Design and build products for platform partners
  • Collaborate globally with Sales, Implementation and Solutions engineering to ensure seamless product integration
  • Evolve Wise's card and multi-currency account offerings to meet new partner needs

Qualifications

Who you are

  • Architecture and Design Patterns: Familiarity with common design patterns and architectural principles, including domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture (EDA), and microservices architecture.
  • Quality and Best Practices: Dedication to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, advocating for best practices in coding standards, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Message Brokers: Experience with messaging systems (ex. Kafka) for handling high-throughput data streams and ensuring reliable communication between microservices.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex problems, propose solutions, and troubleshoot issues in a collaborative environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to collaborative projects.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of card payment systems 
  • Experience with developing in a microservice architecture
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot
  • Database Expertise: Ability to design, optimise, and maintain databases using a variety of technologies, such as relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (ex. Prometheus, Grafana)
